Beef Alert: 50 Cent Slaps Back World Hunger

Beef alert! This time with real beef, not the Grade-D crap they serve on taco day at school. The combatants here are 50 Cent versus world hunger. In a short video (below), 50 reveals the meaning of his medallion engraved with "SK": The letters signify a global movement called "Street King." "With the goal of providing 1 billion meals over the next five years," the note accompanying the video reads, "50 is launching the new Street King energy shot. And with every shot purchased, a meal is provided for a child in need."

50 & Co. probably won't actually serve beef to 1 billion children, but what's important is that his organization has taken the initiative and has the means to help starving youths get a meal. In the video below, Fif starts off with the sad truth:
What's up, it's your boy 50 Cent. I'm actually out here in Australia on tour right now and man, I grew up without money but I didn't grow up hungry. It's a lot of people out there that are actually hungry, actually dying of hunger. And I feel like it's our responsibility to come together and do things to create a solution for this actual problem.
We don't know whether 50's company still profits from sales of the energy shots and we don't care, because it'll still be donating a substantial sum of money to feed children. It's not even a strategy for eradicating hunger long-term, but the desire is pure and ought to inspire others toward enduring solutions. Props.
